Busy, busy
It’s been a busy 2 weeks, but it’s been quite good! Managed to polish off a couple of DVD series ~ particularly, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi was an absolute riot ~ for those who’s managed to get their hands on this anime, don’t dismiss the show just based on the first episode; it’s made that way with the intention of an Otaku spoof. My fav scene would have to be the extreme guitar pwnage by Nagato Yuki (長門 有希, Seiyū: Minori Chihara) in episode 12 of the series:

In addition, we managed to catch The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift, and we were quite surprised at how good it was, compared with the *bleah* live-action Initial-D movie with Jay Chou. But I suppose that’s the difference with a Hollywood big-budget film ~ one can expect to have the real experts to do the stunts right!

What Combat Weaponry Are You?

L-85 A2 Assault Rifle

You are clumsy, ackward and unreliable. Friends frequently have to finish what you start. You prefer to throw hits and get out of harm’s way.

Strangely enough, I do like to use the L-85 or the SA80 (as called by the Brits) when we play the Rainbow Six series of games!

Great food, and even better ambience, we ended the night with a slow stroll around Clarke Quay, taking in the sights and sounds of the new Quay.

Clarke Quay now looks very different from what it used to, and I think it’s for the better, probably starting from the set-up of the superclub: Ministry of Sound. With all the buzz, new and exciting shops have sprung up almost overnight ~ making this place almost humming with excitement at night. We’ve yet to drop by the place by day to check out how well the new environmental control system keeps everything cool, but it certainly looks pretty by night!
