Both the Missus and I have been down with the rather nasty flu bug that’s been going around for the last two weeks (while some may say it’s World Cup Fever, I’d disagree; I don’t watch soccer. Period).
Today we slept in and woke up after the morning thunderstorm (or rather she did, I had to get up to walk the dogs). Feeling hungry we headed off for brunch at Graze, located at Rochester Park. Sited in a beautiful colonial Black & White House, the place is simply surrounded by greenery where one can sip the morning coffee to the sound of birds. Great food, great ambiance, wonderful waitstaff. We’ll be back there again.

Having been cooped up at home for the last two weeks feeling miserable with flu, we went slightly crazy with retail therapy today. After the wonderful brunch, it was off to Orchard Road and some shopping. First up was a pair of watches ~ the “James Bond” watch; Omega Seamasters (Happy Birthday in advance to the wifey!)

Then, a little something for myself: A pair of Bang & Olufsen A8 Earphones:

And finally, we picked up the tickets for the Opera next week:

Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro“ by the Singapore Lyric Opera, at the Esplanade.
