Caught Lord of War on DVD over the holidays, and it’s quality performance by Nicholas Cage as usual. I like him, he’s a solid actor with great presence if not the looks. A rather political movie, it takes a hard look at small-arms proliferation in the world today and the arms trade, although you won’t realise it until the movie ends. Two thumbs up, do catch it when it opens on our sunny shores.
“There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That’s one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other 11?”
