It’s been a busy year, and many things have happened. Still, we are thankful that our friends and family are supportive and always there for us, and that we are still able for find joy in the little things that fill our days with love and happiness.
This household ended the year on two rather unhappy notes. Firstly, the window on the passenger-side of the car got broken, on 31 Dec 05:

And since it was New Year’s Eve, no workshops were open and we won’t be able to fix it till Tuesday, as New Year’s Day falls on Sunday and thus the following Monday is a public holiday. To add insult to injury, the rain was pouring right down so we had to find some way to cover it up to prevent the car from flooding. We still don’t know what happened, as we were at home all this time - the neighbours came by and told us the window was broken - but we’ve made the police report, and hopefully the insurance will cover for the window.
Secondly, our baby-making attempt has failed. Again. This makes a whole disappointing year of failures. (Damn you! Santa!) No help for it, I guess. Just gotta try harder (*heh*) and hope for the best for 2006.

We had Angie, Jamie, Cheryl and JE over at our place for Dinner on 1 Jan 06:

It was the least we could do, after their wonderful efforts to host us while we were at their place in Sweden!
Dim Sum Brunch, 2 Jan 06
Met up with the gang again today for a Dim Sum brunch in Chinatown, at Yum Cha.

I think we ate too much… and going to the tailor to get measured for my Dress Uniform after that was a bad idea. But then again, I’ll probably need the room to “grow”. ~sigh~ I need to get out of this desk job!
Plus, there was a special treat for JE; a Lion Dance troupe was performing just downstairs for some publicity event. He seemed quite excited to see it!
